This annual springtime event in Washington, D.C., brings together thousands to celebrate fitness, health, and the city\u2019s iconic blooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A group of Library of Congress and LCFCU employees<\/strong> \u2014 from seasoned runners to casual walkers \u2014 <strong>will participate<\/strong>, embodying the credit union\u2019s commitment to wellness, community engagement, and teamwork. It\u2019s the largest event to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts. In 2024, together we raised $1,500 to help!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For more information on the walk, <a href=\"https:\/\/act.alz.org\/site\/TR\/Walk2025\/DC-NationalCapitalArea?team_id=962187&amp;pg=team&amp;fr_id=18493#team-roster\">visit the website<\/a>.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Library of Congress FCU Races Toward Community Well-being at the CU Cherry Blossom Run\/Walk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lcfcu.org\/wph\/workarea\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/LCFCU-CUCherryBlossomRun-400x400-1.png\" alt=\"LCFCU Participates in the 2025 CU Cherry Blossom Run\/Walk\" align=\"right\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" border=\"0\"><\/img><em><strong>April 18, 2025 &#8211; Washington, D.C. &#8211; UPDATE<\/strong><\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 52nd annual Credit Union Cherry Blossom Walk\/Run took place on April 5-6 in Washington, D.C. Often referred to as a \u201cRunner\u2019s Rite of Spring,\u201d the event attracted over 17,000 participants for the 10-mile course, which meanders through the iconic cherry blossoms and major D.C. landmarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, Saturday saw around 7,000 runners in the 5K race, which was honored as the Best 5K in the country by USA Today in both 2023 and 2025.
