Back in 1935, a group of employees from the Library of Congress met to create a credit union to help their coworkers and families get ahead financially. While the credit union has changed over the years the vision of those pioneering library employees remains the same.
Today, the Library of Congress FCU is honored to serve America’s library community. We are here to help you live your best financial life story.
As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, we are member-owned and governed by a volunteer board. That’s why we remain focused on service and support of the library community.
Join the Library of Congress FCU and start your next financial chapter.
Volunteer Board of Directors
As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, our Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee is made up of volunteers from America’s library community, elected by the credit union membership to help represent your combined interests.
Supervisory Committee
In addition to its duties as appointed by the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Committee addresses member complaints. If you have a concern regarding your accounts or transactions, which has not been resolved to your satisfaction by Credit Union staff and management, please contact a Supervisory Committee member. All communications will be kept confidential, and we will make our best effort to facilitate a resolution.
